Roger Schenk, known by his stage name Roger McFly or DJ McFly, is a Swiss DJ with a deep passion for electronic music. Music played an important role in his life even as a child. In the early 1990s, he discovered the world of electronic sounds through acts such as Marusha, U96, Dune, Charly Lownoise, and Scooter.
Mix CDs by DJ Energy, DJ Snowman, and other well-known DJs eventually led him to trance music in 1996. The combination of powerful beats, emotional melodies, and a unique atmosphere captivated him from the very beginning—a fascination that remains unbroken to this day.

Early on, Roger wanted not only to listen to music but also to create it himself and share it with others. After some initial experiments with CD players, he began DJing with vinyl in 1999 alongside his friend Ramon Regazzoni, aka DJ Danger. What started with two records and hours of practice evolved, through regular visits to record stores, into a sizeable collection of trance classics. Shortly thereafter came his first gigs at private parties and smaller events.

As trance music underwent significant changes in 2002 and 2003, things quieted down temporarily for Roger McFly. He only DJed occasionally for his own enjoyment, but he never lost his connection to the music.
In 2018, he returned with digital DJ sets. Since then, Roger has combined the warmth and authenticity of vinyl with the creative possibilities of modern technology in his sets. His style is characterized by energetic, melodic trance, emotional moments, and carefully selected classics.

Roger McFly has performed at venues such as the Cardasia Club and the Budeli, at various smaller events, and in livestreams like TSOE. In recent years, he has also forged numerous valuable connections within the trance scene and shared his passion with many like-minded people.

As a co-founder of Homeland Experience, Roger is also involved in organizing the intimate Homeland Festival—a small but special event for lovers of electronic music.

For Roger McFly, the focus isn’t just on DJing, but above all on the shared experience. In the future, he hopes to continue bringing people together behind the DJ booth and celebrating with them the energy, emotions, and unifying power of trance music.
