From Electronic Beginnings to an International Trance Career
My first experiences with electronic music were in the late 80s. Depeche Mode was the band that set me on the right path.
At the beginning of my career, I was particularly fascinated by the Italo-dance scene, and so I gained my first DJ experience in this genre. I was a regular at clubs like the legendary OXA in Zurich and the famous Cocoricò in Riccione, Italy. After this scene lost its significance around 1995, I stopped DJing and had to rediscover my musical tastes. My favorite music at the time was dreamdance, progressive, and also hard trance, mainly music from Italy. Then I attended my first techno and trance events in Switzerland and enjoyed the fantastic Swiss trance scene with well-known Swiss DJs like Tatana, Energy, Dream, Snowman, and many others.
Unfortunately, the Swiss trance scene disappeared in the early 2000s, and so I became increasingly involved with the international trance scene. Music videos by Tiësto, Ferry Corsten, and Armin van Buuren convinced me to start attending trance events again, no matter where they were held.
And so it happened: In 2010, I attended my first international trance event—Trance Energy in Utrecht—and after that event, I knew I had to rediscover my passion for this music. So, I launched my comeback as a DJ.
Since 2010, I've regularly attended all the major international trance events, such as ASOT, Transmission, Trancefusion, Grotesque, Luminosity, and many others, drawing inspiration from the international DJs and their music.
In 2013, I made my club comeback at Firehouse Club (Switzerland) for the Firedance event, where I had the honor of playing alongside legends like Sean Tyas and Alex M.O.R.P.H. for the first time. In 2017, I released my first single, which immediately entered the Beatport charts. I also have a podcast with regular live mixes, formerly called "Trance Sessions," now called "Meraviglia."
My music collection now encompasses a wide range of subgenres, so I've decided to divide my sets into different styles and subgenres, such as vocal trance, melodic trance, uplifting trance, and other trance subgenres like progressive trance and/or melodic techno. This has allowed me to evolve from a pure trance DJ to a more versatile DJ.
Today, I can look back on numerous national and international bookings, over 50 releases, top ten chart hits, radio airplay, my podcast, and many guest mixes, and I look forward to many more successes.
Playing trance music and making people happy is my motivation.
